summary:
In the daily heavy production, our mechanical equipment

In the daily heavy production, our mechanical equipment needs to replace belts. Choosing between polyurethane synchronous belts or rubber synchronous belts is a problem. Different devices require the use of synchronous belts made of different materials, and different lengths and widths are standards that need to be understood. How to choose should be difficult for many people.
In fact, the key to choosing polyurethane synchronous belts or rubber synchronous belts is to know the specific material differences and applicable scenarios between the two. After understanding these, we can understand how to choose. As a reference, let's first take a look at the characteristics of polyurethane synchronous belts.
Firstly, the polyurethane synchronous belt is a glass fiber stretching layer, which is a rope composed of multiple strands of glass fibers. It is wound in a spiral along the width of the tape and has high strength and elongation. Small size, good corrosion resistance and heat resistance. In addition, the polyurethane synchronous belt adopts polyurethane rubber tape, which firmly adheres the glass fiber to the joint line to protect the stretching material. When a belt return is needed in the transmission, it can prevent damage due to friction and has superior hydrolysis resistance and heat resistance compared to the back of rubber synchronous belts.
In other aspects, polyurethane synchronous belts use polyurethane rubber teeth, which are composed of polyurethane rubber with high shear strength and appropriate hardness. Accurate molding and distribution are required to correctly engage the teeth of the pulley. The root should maintain a specified distance from the node line, and the distance should remain unchanged during bending. In addition, with the coverage of nylon cloth layer, it can effectively protect the anti friction part of the tape, with excellent wear resistance, and is composed of nylon cloth with low friction coefficient.
Polyurethane synchronous belts are superior to rubber synchronous belts in terms of hydrolysis resistance, heat resistance, and impact resistance, and have a wider range of transmission power. Especially in high-power transmission, polyurethane synchronous belts cannot compare with it. The working temperature is generally -34 to 80 ℃. Rubber synchronous belts have been a product we have been using for a long time, and due to their low cost and good quality, they have always had good market performance. However, in terms of ease of use and lifespan, they cannot be compared to polyurethane synchronous belts.
