Synchronous toothed belt structure
summary:
The synchronous belt body is composed of a strong layer

The synchronous belt body is composed of a strong layer, a toothed layer, a wrapping layer, and a rubber layer. The strong layer is a core rope with high tensile strength, usually made of surface treated glass fiber, aramid fiber, or steel wire rope. This layer mainly bears the tensile force of the load. The toothed layer is the part where the synchronous belt comes into contact with the pulley, and its tooth root line is roughly at the position of the pitch line, ensuring no circumferential changes when bending. Its tooth profile must be accurate and not easily deformed in order to accurately transmit motion. The wrapping layer wraps around the entire toothed layer, providing protection and preventing cracking. Adhesive layer, also known as tape backing, is mainly used to stick the tensile material of the strong layer to the joint line position of the tape and protect the tensile material.
